There are numerous reasons for maintaining a food diary. It is not exclusively about diet. While weight loss could be a valid reason for using a food diary, other individuals may want to actually gain weight or simply know sugar intake, calories or simply track carbs. Several chronic conditions have related food issue cyclia, cron's desease and diabetes are just a few such illnesses that can be self-managed with better food intake.
